Common Ground Men's Group
ToughLove
Toughlove is a parent support program that meets upstairs at Picabeen Community centre on Tuesday nights from 7.30pm – please call 3856 3211 for more details.
No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS)
The No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) is available to low income earners.  Loans of up to $1,200 are available for essential household goods, and are free of interest and fees.

Older Women's Network (OWN)
Older Women's Network (Qld) Inc (OWN) is a network of groups of older women who celebrate the wit and wisdom of their lives. The program promotes discussion and action on healthy ageing, access to information, dealing with loss and change, and much more. OWN meets at Picabeen on the second Wednesday of every month from 10am to 12MD. Membership is $14 per year and $2 per meeting. OWN members meet for lunch after each meeting and on the last Saturday each month at a local venue. For Mitchelton activities, please phone Barbara Barnes on 3351 1864 for more information.
Yoga with Natalie
This general form of Hatha yoga includes breathing and relaxing techniques, stretching and balancing postures, and meditation.

Contact Natalie on 0423 275 036 or nthomsen@live.com.au to book in. Each class costs $12, and will be held on Tuesdays from 9.30am - 10.45am.

Computer classes on Mondays & Tuesdays are free. It doesn't matter whether you've never touched a computer before. Bookings are essential.

Yoga with Natalie, on Tuesdays from 9.30am - 10.45am is suitable for the beginner through to the experienced. This general form of Hatha yoga  includes breathing and relaxing techniques, stretching and balancing postures, and meditation. Contact Natalie on 0423 275 036 or nthomsen@live.com.au to book in. The Craft Group gets together every Thursday from 9:30am - 12:30pm. $5 per session. No need to book.

Relaxing exercise with Tai Chi tutors on Thursdays from 9:30-10:30am. $5 per session. Bookings are essential.

Conversational English is a friendly group of people from many countries working with our tutors to improve their spoken and written English. Join in from 9:30-11:30am on Fridays except during school holidays.

Parents and young children are welcome to drop in to the Friday playgroup between 10am and midday. Enjoy the pleasant shaded outdoor area and a chat while the children play together. No need to book and it is free.

The Art Class gets together on Friday afternoons between 1-3pm.

A J.P. service is provided most days. Please phone to make a time if you need Jillian's assistance.

Craft classes

The craft group is getting together every Thursday from 9:30am - 12:30pm. Drop in and meet like-minded people, learn a new craft or share your ideas.

Would you like to learn how to email, surf the web, publish your own material or just learn the basics about using computers?

Free classes in relaxed, small groups or one-on-one are held every Monday and Tuesday. Bookings are essential, so phone 3354 2555.
Conversational English Classes

Do you know someone who would like to improve their English? Every Friday morning except school holidays, from 9:30 - 11:30, they can join in with a friendly group of people from many countries to chat and learn. Classes are free and there is no need to book.
