National Volunteer Week – 18-24 May

  Here at Picabeen, we support so many people in lots of different ways  – it could be through NILS, food parcels, helping with replenishing their wardrobe,  sharing information, helping people find their inner creativity, and, more often than not, it could be that simple conversation that you have with people coming in through the front door that changes their day for the better. Volunteers contribute significantly not only to Picabeen Community Centre and Picabeen Change Room  but ultimately to the local community. There are reports of an increase internet scams… Scamwatch has received over a thousand coronavirus related scam reports since the outbreak of the virus. Please warn your families, friends and networks to be aware and DO NOT open attachments or click on links unless you are sure of the sender. Scammers are very good at making emails (from government and other public offices) look authentic.
